Update: Onward and Eastward!

Our posts here have been sparse lately due to a combination of visitors, lack of net access, the holidays, and boat repairs. The summary of the past month is this: after time along the south coast of the Puerto Rican main island, we sailed east and spent good times in Culebra (including New Years) and Culebrita, then on to St Thomas, and we have spent a few weeks bouncing between St Thomas and St John, USVI. More on that later.

We are currently in Cruz Bay, St John, but a passing cold front has created good conditions for sailing east: winds veering from the usual direction out of the east to south through west through north before going back to east. So we are leaving in a few minutes for St. Martin, which is roughly 100 nautical miles ESE of where we are now.
