I've been meaning to post this fascinating look at the wind for quite a while. It is powered by real data updated every three hours. It can also show currents, which are updated every five hours.
I've shown the Caribbean below, but you can right-drag to pan the map, and you can use the mouse scroll-wheel to zoom. You can also left click on the map to get point info.
